一种为间接制模,间接制模是以快速原型为模型采用某种工艺制造模具;

另一种为直接制模,直接制模是在快速原型制造设备上直接制造模具,即根据制品形状设计了模具的三维实体模型或将零件模型转换为型腔模型,选择专用材料,利用快速原型技术制造模具。
