模型制作中的快速成型技术,又称快速制样或实体自由形式制造,是一种用材料逐层对基础制件的制作方法,是集CAD、数控技术、精密机械、激光技术和材料科学与工程等新技术而发展起来的产品设计开发技术。

山东快速成型是一种离散、堆积成型的加工技术,其目标是将计算机三维CAD模型快速地转变为具体物质构成的三维实体模型。快速成型的基本过程是将计算机辅助设计的产品的立体数据(3DModel),经电脑分层离散处理后,把原来的三维数据表层二维平面数据,按特定的成型方法,通过逐点逐面将成型材料一层层加工,并堆积成型。
